Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, continued its domination of America’s tournament-fishing circuit as Lowrance Pro Jamie Hartman won his first Bassmaster Elite Series Tournament at Lake Guntersville. The event was held in Scottsboro, Alabama, June 21-24.
Hartman’s winning total of 79 pounds, 10 ounces, lead fellow Top 10 Lowrance anglers Matt Arey, Caleb Sumrall, Lee Livesay, Brandon Lester and Kelley Jaye who came in third, fourth, seventh, ninth and tenth, respectively. The New York native, who now lives in Arkansas, used his Lowrance HDS LIVE displays with C-MAP Precision Contour HD – Alabama charts to his advantage. Not having success on the lake’s deep ledges, he changed strategy on the second day and focused on a grassy stretch of shoreline, which made all the difference. In total, 18 of the 35 boats in Sunday’s Cut Day, relied on Lowrance HDS LIVE.
“Having never been on Lake Guntersville before, I really needed to rely on my electronics to plan my attack,” said Hartman. “Combining the detail of the C-MAP cards with the sonar capabilities of my HDS LIVE, I was able to switch tactics and move from 46th place to 10th to number one.”
