Why use Genesis Live on your C-MAP chart

Good news! Genesis Live works on any C-MAP chart.

Genesis Live launched in September 2018 as a free feature to enable you to create custom live maps when out on the water. Genesis Live integrates with any C-MAP product once you have downloaded a Social Map or purchased a Max-N+ chart. You will be able to use Genesis Live on top of your compatible cartography, for free. Enhancing map detail to uncover new structures can make all the difference when out on the water - and helping you find more fish is our raison d'être.

Creating a Genesis Live map is easy; to activate, insert a Micro-SD card into your device, go into the Overlay menu and choose Genesis Live.  Voila! You are now creating a Genesis Live file. 

While using Genesis Live, remember to record a traditional .slg, .sl2, or .sl3 file at the same time to be able to upload your map to www.genesismaps.com. Sharing your discoveries via the Genesis Maps website will give you access to an updated Social Map combining your own-recorded data with the data already shared by the fishing community - our Quality Control team will also create a shoreline from the areas you uploaded. Now, armed with your new chart overlays all you need to do is get back out on the water to find the fish!

Genesis Live is compatible with Lowrance HDS Live, HDS Gen3, HDS Carbon, and Elite-Ti devices.
