Marine Electronics Leader Selects Former Lowrance and Eagle Marketing Director to Strengthen Brands in the Americas Market
Tulsa, Okla. – Navico, the market leader in marine electronics for the recreational boating segment, announced today the promotion of Gordon Sprouse to Director of Marketing for all Navico brands: B&G, Eagle, Lowrance, MX Marine, Northstar and Simrad. Operating from Navico’s Tulsa, Oklahoma facility, Mr. Sprouse will lead the Americas marketing organization and report directly to John Bay, Navico’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. His responsibilities will include developing and implementing an Americas marketing plan that strengthens Navico’s brands and enhances sales, while representing the region within Navico’s Global Marketing Council.

The Americas marketing organization manages all Western hemisphere promotional initiatives including marketing communications, product marketing and launch plans, trade shows, tournament sponsorships, collateral production, public relations, trade and channel marketing, and consumer promotions.
Mr. Sprouse joined Lowrance Electronics Inc. in August of 2004 as the North American Sales Manager. In November of 2006, when Navico Americas was first organized, he was appointed Marketing Director for the Eagle and Lowrance brands. Outside of Lowrance Electronics and Navico, Mr. Sprouse has more than 15 years of experience in marketing communications, sales, event planning and media development in the outdoors industry, including stints as editor, director of marketing and associate publisher for a publishing company servicing the fishing, hunting and golf markets – Bassin’, Crappie, Rifle & Shotgun and Golf Illustrated magazines and websites.
Mr. Sprouse has a degree in journalism from Oklahoma State University. He currently resides in Bixby, Oklahoma with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, watching his kids’ sporting events, fishing and golf.
