Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works great until you're on plane. This unit is great until I get my Tracker Pro-Team on plane then I lose depth and sonar. I have moved the total scan transducer twice and had a little luck adjusting the angle downward. I don't want to drill anymore holes in my boat to get this thing to work. Down scan and side scan are great and clear. Chirp does not work while using structure scan and that was not clear when I researched this product. Bluetooth is also not available although that wasn't clear until I got the unit home. Oh well. Hopefully Lowrance tech support will help me out. If I can get this thing working I will gladly give it 5 stars but at this point I can't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from miracle at sea I have used this unit for a year and added a navionics map cartridge to it. The detail was awesome and opened up many new areas in the Sekieu/Neah Bay area of Washington state to very productive fishing. I lost it when my boat was capsized off the coast and we hung on to the bottom of the boat for over 50 minutes before we were rescued. The boat washed up on the beach and the salvage crew rescued my elite unit so no one would steal it. When I opened the SD slot, it was dry and the chip was intact. It was splash proof even though the main unit became compromised by the salt water after the extensive submersion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the Most Amazing Devices on the Water, ANYW The Elite-7 TI far exceeds my expectations for design, ease of use, clarity under bright light conditions, and "wow factor" ! For the past three years, our Lake Erie walleye boat "BaileyB" had a different brand of finder/gps aboard. We struggled with frustrating menu systems, a myriad of buttons to push, and a screen that looked OK in morning twilight but became hard to read in full sun. Then, we discovered Lowrance. Now the Elite-7TI is the only screen allowed on our dash! To make things even better, we also bought the optional GoFree WiFi unit - just plugged it in and it worked! Now everyone on board can see what the Lowrance screen shows with their smart phones anywhere on the boat. We even have an older iPad set up in the rear of the boat. We see exactly Lowrance sees while trolling - no need to even turn around to see the dash mounted Elite-7TI ! Lowrance is SO far ahead of the others in technology, but still so easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Graph I have used this unit for a year now and am quite pleased with the ease of use andand excellent quality of images. I did not have to break the bank to get a quality unit which has really helped me catch more fish. The key is finding them, and with an easy to use unit like this, I have been catching more bass and walleye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lowrance -Elite 7 GPS/Chart Plotter I purchased this unit about 2 years ago. I have owned 11 other GPS and GPS/Chart plotter combo units over the last few years and this is my first Lowrance. (Note of reference, I have a background in cartography and aerial photograph interpretation.)Pros: This unit does work as advertised. It will accept the Standard Mapping Satellite Photo E-Card which, for my use, the photograph is a better option than topographic or marine maps along the Gulf Coast. It is very easy to operate and above all the screen can be viewed in direct sunlight.Cons: This unit as all the other units I have used will, occasionally, loose satellite reception for about 30 seconds and will recover on its own. This loss of satellite is usually not a problem for me when boating. Conclusion: Yes, I would purchase this unit again. Compared to other similar size units, don't let the lower price fool you, it is a quality product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from my eleite 7 I find the navigation very useful with the navionics card due to the underwater terrain I normally fish in. The menu is not easily navigated thru and the sonar is questionable, this is not a major issue for me since I fish mostly inshore in shallow depths.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantasic unit... but not all features available I bought this before the MN opener, was excited at the bluetooth capability. However it doesn't have bluetooth capability, or there's yet to be released update... not sure exactly. This is my first season with structurescan... and it is fantastic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took the best of Gen2 Touch and made it affordable This is essentially a Gen2 Touch in a more affordable package. This is a 100% improvement over the older generation Elite HDI and Chirp.
